Become a Temporary Contact

Thank you for your interest in helping others through Alcoholics Anonymous' Bridging the Gap program.

A temporary contact is an AA member who volunteers to help a newcomer transition from a treatment setting into AA. Your responsibilities may include:

• Taking the newcomer to their first few AA meetings
• Introducing them to other members of AA
• Sharing your experience, strength, and hope
• Helping them understand what AA is and is not

Bridging the Gap is not a sponsorship program, nor does it carry any long-term obligations. It is simply a way to help someone get connected with the fellowship during a critical transition.
